A new old-time jam kicks off today, Sunday, July 12, 5pm at The Gourd Guy Farm at 2099 County Road E, in Blue Mounds
Hostess Terri Schmit is planning to make this a regular bi-weekly jam, alternating with the old-time jam at the Alchemy in Madison, if there’s enough interest. So all you clawhammer banjo players, old-time fiddlers, tin whistle tooters and other old-time players c’mon out and support the jam!
- Directions: From Madison take the Beltline west to the 151 South/
Dodgeville exit. - Turn left onto 151 South (toward Dodgeville/Verona) at the exit
light. - Stay on 151 South just past Mt. Horeb and turn left (south – you can
only turn left) on County Road E. - Go down 3 miles. Firemarker is 2097/2099 on the right (there’s a large
rural mailbox with 2099 on the left, driveway on the right).
Terri adds:
“Follow the driveway to the right, all the way UP THE HILL. When you think you’re lost, you’re in the right place. Keep going. Park near the wood pile, walk to the house.Weather permitting, we’ll play in the front yard or on the porch (sans mosquitoes). Should it rain, we’ll just move indoors.”
