Due to the fact that they are doing renovations, the June 16 Tuesday Night Jame will NOT be at the The Bar Next Door – instead, we will be at the Coliseum Bar, which is right next door.
We MAY have the back room there to ourselves — but, if there are customers there, we may have to play out on the patio. I’ll try to get there by 7:30 to see what the setup is; we’ll start the jam by 8.
When: Tuesday, June 16, 2009 8:00 PM
Where: The Coliseum Bar — back room OR patio
232 East Olin Ave
Madison WI
A song I know we’ll tack a crack at this month is one suggested last time by Jim Knobloch: “My Home’s Across The Blue Ridge Mountains”. Jim likes to do that one in the key of G. It’s a nice two-chord (G and D) song. If you’d like to try playing along with it, you can hear a version of it done in the key of G here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m9ksDp-7Iv8
Otherwise, we did pretty well last month just coming up with tunes on the spur of the moment and I thought we’d take that approach again. So bring your ideas for what you’d like to try.
By way of a reminder, here are some we did last month:
On And On
Cora Is Gone
All The Good Times Are Past And Gone
Lorena
Fireball Mail
Walk Softly On This Heart Of Mine
Feast Here Tonight (aka Rabbit In The Log)
In The Pines
Blue Ridge Mountain Home
I’ll Fly Away
Hope to see you this Tuesday!
