SWBMAI Member band (This is the) Squirrel Hunters will be playing third thursdays in 2009 (starting Jan 15th) at The Frequency in Madison. The boys (and Lorie) will be hosting this Bluegrass Happy Hour from 6-8pm.

The Frequency is another new Madison venue that features live music from a veritable plethora of genres, including Bluegrass. It’s just off the square and boasts one of the best sounding rooms in town. There is ample free street parking, as well as a large garage just across the street.

Mandolinist Brian Ray says “Bluegrassers, and especially the members of our band, can’t seem stay awake much past 9pm, so we are happy to play an early show every third Thursday”. Guitarist Bob Batyko added “Looook… I’m older than dirt but I can stay up till at least 10pm. Kids today…”

Admission for the shows will be $3 or two cans of food, which will be donated a local food bank. So come on down and prematurely toast in the end of the week with some traditional Bluegrass!
