Chicago’s Special Consensus (http://www.specialc.com) will be playing November 8th from 6pm to 8pm at The Frequency, a first-rate new music club in downtown Madison. Special Consensus has been playing traditional and original bluegrass music since 1975 earning their reputation for bridging traditional and progressive bluegrass music. The band features founding band member and banjo extraordinaire Greg Cahill, with Ashby Frank on mandolin, Justin Carbone on guitar, and David Thomas on bass. Special Consensus performs an outstanding repertoire of polished instrumentals with refined lead and harmony vocals. The quartet of accomplished players will bring a tight powerhouse set of Bluegrass music to the stage.
