Fiddler, Singer, Composer, Musician Extrordinaire Barbara Lamb will be in Madison the weekend of November 14-16. A lucky break in her schedule allows us to host her for an intimate evening house concert on Saturday, November 15th. The concert time is 7:30, but we would love to have you arrive around 7 to mingle and settle in. The requested donation is only $10.00 per person.

Barbara is a highly entertaining solo performer, busy Nashville session player and self described “hired gun”. On her website, www. barbaralamb.com. she describes that last aspect of her career this way. “Hired Gun - Sideman.  Since I was a kid I have worked as a sideman on the fiddle and sometimes backup vocals. I have worked for John Cowan, Asleep At The Wheel, Laura Love, Tony Trischka, Peter Rowan, Kathy Chiavola, Caroline Doctorow, Sweethearts of the Rodeo and many more.”

Check out her site and you will notice that this serious musician does not take herself too seriously. After my conversation with her yesterday, I knew that she will deliver an unforgettable show. You won’t want to miss this chance to spend an evening with a great musician in a close and personal setting.

Please email me (nancy@blue-note.com) for reservations as soon as you can, so we can plan for seating and snacks. If you have questions, call Jim or me at 608-233-0150. Our home is on the west side of Madison, just a few blocks off University Avenue. We would be happy to provide directions.

We hope to hear from you soon. THIS IS GOING TO BE FUN!!!
